The main access to the Independence Creek Trail System is from Weber Saddle.  The Independence Trail #22 starts from Weber Saddle and follows Independence Creek for much of its' length.

There are 14 stream crossings.  It provides access to Devil Peak Trails #56, Ermine Ridge Trail #413, East Declaration Trail #416, and Goose Creek/Upper Independence Trail #3.
