Independence Saddle (Goose Creek) Trailhead
Independence Saddle (Goose Creek) Trailhead is one of the access points to the Independence Creek Trail System. Goose Creek Trail #3 starts on the south side of Independence Saddle (between NF-258 and NF-904) but is not marked, is overgrown, and is relatively steep.
The alternate, less technical, access is to take NF-904 road from Independence Saddle. The road progressively becomes overgrown with alders where it eventually narrows to only single track before intersecting with Goose Creek Trail #3. The trail is very rough and technical with a lot of exposed roots, rocks, and side hill exposures until it intersects with Independence Creek Trail #22.
