Talache-Blacktail (Trail #117)
A popular early season trail that takes you along a portion of Lake Pend Oreille. About 3 miles up the trail there's a short spur trail that takes you to Blacktail Mountain where there's a panoramic view of the lake.
There's many switchbacks on both ends of the trail. However,
they are relatively mild are are fairly wide because much of the single-track portion has been poached by ATV's
The trail becomes less popular in the summer months because it becomes extremely dusty and better riding options open up as the snow melts
Parking is limited at the trail-head with only 2 or 3 spaces.
