This year the 24 hour race at Goldendale by http://www.overthebarsgang.com/ will be a 25 hour race.  We need to be thinking about a team or teams for this years race.  Last year "PANTRA TOO!" won the Club class and the year before the Stumpjumpers won it.  This year they say they are comming back to defend their title from the previous year.

Did I mention it will be on Oct. 31st this year???  Kinda spooky:shock:

Who is interested in being on a team?  Remember it takes a big commitment with lights and other expedatures to do this race.  But bar none the most fun race of the year.

Post um up!!

This may not be the best idea, but if it's possible to ride with a pair of helmet-mounted lights, then people could just swap the lights between one-another and just have to buy the wiring harness and helmet-mounts.

What's the hot ticket for lighting? (I know that the correct answer is "all of the above," but that could be upwards of a grand depending on what you buy.)

yep, open your wallet  Trail Tech stators/regulators and helmet lights

A Ktm Talk sponsor dealer you see on the side bar of the forums is Cyclops Motorsports. At the des 100 he was handing out coupons for 15%off. He said he would honor it for a while after the event Untill May 5th on the coupon. Plus his prices are a bit better that trailtech for the same items.

I will be there again for the 4th year. The lighting issue has all kinds of plus and minuses. Myself, I am running a budget system of halogen cyclops helmet light and halogen 8" baja headlight. Both are running from the stator which has been rewired. The downside to this setup is being tied to the bike due to the helmet light and less lighting from the halogen light. Of course HID is the better light but I am cheap and find myself seldom over running the lights that I have now. The extra $$$ for HID might gain me some speed but probably not enough to warrant the expediture.

Riding at night is a hoot and find myself doing more of it every year. This is a fun race and really enjoy it!

Once Canfield opens up I will be doing my mid-week evening rides all year until the race.  Don't get too much practice in the dark in June and July, but by August we do.

It all really depends on what you WANT to spend and how competative you WANT to be.  I spent $425 on my hemet light.  Well worth it.  I think the helmet light is the mostimportant light at night.  For my headlight I did some research and unded up only spending $120 for a HID replacement in my stock housing.  Rod also spent the same for his in the KTM.  Money well spent.

The Betty's will have our traditional lasagne potluck Friday night at 6:00pm. Looks like Kert and I are towing our trailer down all by ourselves for the first time   I am wondering if we can meet up with you Ed and Randy and go together Friday morning?? CONVOY  Gotta stop in Kennewick for a quick pick-up of the E-Z ups and propane pit heater my Dad left us ;) Dad is still looking out for the Betty's :ride:

Tia, the convoy works fine for me, got a CB radio?  Now that we have the number are you going to get them printed for us again this year? or do we just get them ourselves?

I was planning on getting your numbers the same time as ours if you wanted me to. They were $10 a set last year. $60 per team. Bart said he could make them tomorrow if I got back to him 171c is that what Randy wants? Then I could give them to you at the next meeting. Are you ok going through the Tri-Cities? My Mom's house is just off the highway a few blocks:D I don't have a CB but I have a cell that I forget to turn on:?
