Hey all, I went into the IDPR office in CDA yesterday and talked to Mark Hildesheim again about registration requirements regarding 50cc bikes. He said bikes 50cc and less do not need a plate or an ORV sticker. :Y: He also confirmed this with a colleague on the phone.

He gave me permission to post this info on our website. Hopefully this makes things clearer for those with little ones.

cheers

Does anyone know if State of WA requires ORV sticker for 50cc bikes?

Rob, I just called the number you gave and talked to the lady who answers the phone at Riverside. She didn't know, but asked one of the ORV rangers who happened to be there. He said that bikes 50cc and less were not required to have ORV stickers on them.

Here is the latest info from State of Idaho regarding stickers for little bikes (50 cc's and less).

Mike,
I just wanted to give you a heads up that with the new law there is no longer an exemption on 50cc motorcycles for OHV registration stickers. Of course you still will not need to get a restricted vehicle plate for the bikes. OHV registration stickers can be purchased at the county assessor motor vehicle office or at IDPR for the remainder of 2009, in 2010 you will once again be able to purchase stickers from vendors authorized by IDPR. We are out of stickers today, but will be receiving more tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know before you took your kids out riding.
Thanks,
