Chicks That Rip (CTR) 2016 - Dirtbiking Weekend

At Gold Creek Lodge

47.943894, -116.443698

Organiser: Two Stuck Girls

Lady dirtbikers, you are invited to come check out some of the best single track in North Idaho and stay at the coolest dirtbike hotel ever! Camping, with water & electricity hookups, is available if you'd prefer.

Arrive on Friday afternoon/evening if you can. We will ride on both Saturday and Sunday with a targeted ride time of 10am. It will be HOT, so if the group decides we can be ready earlier, we will go earlier. Be prepared to ride hard and spend the afternoons swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, or just soaking in the lake.

There are numerous trails to choose from in this area; however, they are all fairly technical. I do not recommend them for a beginner, but I don't want to exclude anyone. If you are a beginner, hopefully there will be some other beginners who will also be up for exploring the USFS & logging roads and/or four wheelers trails. You may find you are ready for a bit more and be able to do parts of some of the single track trails. Regardless, the afternoons on Lake Pend O'Reille (less than 2 miles from Gold Creek) and the evenings around the campfire will make your trip worth it.

The single track is what I consider intermediate and advanced. You can expect exposed hillsides, loose rock, roots, creek crossings, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world (I am a little biased, but...it is pretty incredible). All the trails are connected by roads, and maps are available for purchase at the lodge.

Besides your dirt bike, extra gas, tools, and anything else you need for maintenance, bring your summer lake toys if you have them - paddleboards, kayaks, air mattresses, but most importantly, sunscreen! We have seen mountain goats while paddling around the shores of the lake after a long day of riding. It's pretty darn cool!

Food, beer, and wine are available at the restaurant/bar on site. They are open from 9am-9pm.

Hotel Rooms all have two queen rooms, so if you don't know anyone and want to share a room, just post on the site that you are looking for a roommate or two or three. The rooms were updated with all new beds, flooring, decor, etc. last summer, so they are nice! Room prices are $100/night for up to 2 people and $25 for each additional person (maximum of 4). Camping is $40/RV site and $30/tent site (maximum of 6 at each site, add $10/person over 4).

Pets are allowed, but there is a deposit. I recommend not bringing any, as there is no place for them to stay cool while we are out riding all day.

Please post your questions for everyone to see becuase there are likely others who have the same questions. Spread the word to all your fun, female friends, and lets make this a week of awesome memories with some bad-ass Chicks That Rip!
